Maki discovers her mother in the kitchen area and is met with extreme panic. Her mother urges her to stay back, but Maki is determined to find out why her mother warned her not to enter the cursed warehouse earlier. Despite her mother's distraught state, she cannot remember what Maki is referring to. Frustrated, Maki approaches her mother, who repeatedly screams in terror before her blood splatters on the wall. "I'm relieved... that I gave birth to you." The Hei and the Kukuru Unit have been entirely wiped out, their lifeless bodies scattered throughout the area. Naoya, critically injured but still alive, stumbles around, blood streaming from his face until he collapses through a door inside one of the buildings. He taunts Maki for failing to finish him off, but suddenly, her mother appears behind him. Her throat has been slit and she is bleeding profusely, yet she clutches a kitchen knife in her hand. Maki leaves Mai behind to carry out the annihilation of the Zenin clan. Naoya, too wounded to utilize his cursed energy, is stabbed in the back by Maki's mother. As they both meet their demise, Naoya insults her, but is powerless to do anything about it. As Maki's and Mai's mother passes away, she confesses her gratitude for giving birth to the twins. Maki exits the Zenin property with Mai's lifeless body. Momo Nishimiya arrives, having chased after Mai out of concern but arriving too late. Momo had warned her not to go. Devastated by Mai's death, Momo weeps and regrets her inability to protect her. Maki entrusts Mai's body to Momo's care. Momo asks Maki what her plans are, but she silently walks away with Mai's blade in her hand. According to the official records, the Zenin clan members who were absent that day all met violent deaths. The only traces found were remnants from a cursed tool. Days later, the Gojo and Kamo clans proposed the expulsion of the Zenin clan from the prestigious Big Three Sorcerer Families. The decision remains pending at Jujutsu Headquarters.
