After resolving the conflict with Acrobatic Silky, Momo invited Aira over for a meal with her, Okarun, Seiko, and the Turbo-Granny. Acknowledging she went too far in dropping a basin on Aira when they first met, Momo apologized but also demanded Aira apologize to Okarun for previously misleading his emotions. Aira stated she held no grudge but still viewed Momo as a demon enemy who needed defeating, leading to an argument over Aira seeing Okarun's Turbo-Granny transformation and Seiko's youthful appearance as proof they were demons too. The argument escalated with Aira warning she would eventually confront Momo again, while Momo accepted the challenge. Before leaving, Aira asked Okarun why he saved her despite being a "demon." Okarun replied it was natural to help others, shocking Aira who thought he still retained humanity. She told him she would free him from Momo, blushing as she departed, which confused Momo. Later, with the Turbo-Granny and Seiko's help, Okarun joyfully had his golden ball reattached in a game of baseball. The next day at school, Momo suggested meeting Okarun at lunch to locate his other missing ball. However, he claimed needing that time and after school to finish a report. Momo decided to spend lunch with friends but suspected Okarun was hiding something, wondering if it involved a girl like Aira, though she dismissed the idea. While getting drinks, Momo felt uneasy and considered checking on Okarun. To her shock, she then saw Okarun on top of Aira in the courtyard.
