The Zenin Clan convenes for the reading of Naobito Zenin's will. Naoya, his most promising son, anticipates inheriting his father's position. However, his aspirations are shattered by a special provision that designates Megumi as the clan's leader. Determined to reclaim what he believes is rightfully his, Naoya plots to track down Megumi in Tokyo, where Yuji and Choso have opted to stay after the Shibuya Incident. At the Zenin estate, amidst tensions with his cousin Maki, Naoya joins Ogi and Jinichi as they await news of Naobito's passing. Naoya critiques his relatives, provoking a violent response from Ogi and Jinichi. Skillfully diffusing the tension he instigated, Naoya learns from Furudate that he's slated to become the 27th head of the Zenin Family, pending approval from either Ogi or Jinichi. However, Furudate discloses a clause, stemming from an agreement with Toji Fushiguro, stating that if Satoru Gojo perishes or becomes incapacitated, Megumi Fushiguro will assume leadership. Furious at this revelation, Naoya understands that Ogi and Jinichi would prefer anyone but him to lead. He discovers Megumi's pursuit of Yuji in Tokyo, who serves as Sukuna's vessel, and instructs an attendant to inform superiors of his intent to personally eliminate Yuji. Exploiting the chaos in Tokyo, he plans to target Megumi as well. In a flashback, Yuki converses on the phone, expressing regret for not intervening sooner, claiming to have been monitoring the situation. She cryptically suggests she may not align with any particular side but seeks to eradicate cursed spirits. She asserts her responsibility for escorting the children present, revealing her intention to confront Tengen. As a disheartened Yuji sits alone on a grand staircase, Choso approaches, inquiring about his injuries. Yuji credits Sukuna for his resilience, sensing the demon's increasing power. Choso assures Yuji he can manage alone while he retrieves the remains of their comrades, urging Yuji to return to Jujutsu High. Yuji, however, expresses concern over Sukuna's intentions for Megumi and his remorse for the lives he's taken, including Eso and Kechizu. Choso dismisses these worries, emphasizing the bond between brothers. As they set off to confront more cursed spirits, Naoya and Yuta are depicted preparing to track and eliminate Yuji.
